Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics - Natural Resource Economics, 9 month tenure track appointment, 75 percent research, 25 percent teaching.

Closing Date: Applicant screening will begin Dec. 15, 2015 and remain open until suitable candidate is identified.

Responsibilities:
The candidate is expected to develop a nationally recognized research program in natural resource/environmental economics, including but not limited to the economics of natural resources such as water, conservation, and the interface between agriculture production and the environment with an emphasis on issues critical to Idaho, the Pacific Northwest, and the western states. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in resource and applied economics based upon educational background, interests, and departmental needs; advise undergraduate and graduate students; publish research in academic peer-reviewed journals; and secure extramural grant funding to support a strong nationally-recognized research program.

Required Qualifications: PhD in Agricultural Economics, Economics or closely related field by the time of appointment; excellent training in quantitative methods, econometrics, and microeconomics; demonstrated excellence in oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
