The Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston seeks an experienced financial economist with expertise in the areas of banking, financial intermediation, and/or financial regulation, but we will consider candidate’s with new Ph.D.s as well. The candidate will be expected to conduct and publish self-directed, policy-oriented research and will advise senior Bank management on regulatory and policy issues. Requirements include a Ph.D. in economics or finance; demonstrated research capability; and strong written and oral communication skills. Previous experience at a Central Bank, while not required, is highly desirable. Salary will be commensurate with background and experience.
