The Department of Economics at the University of California, Irvine, invites applications for an open-rank position in public economics, broadly conceived to include aspects of health economics, the economics of education, and urban economics. Applicants for a senior position must have an established record of research excellence, and applicants for a junior position must show substantial promise for a productive research career. While junior applicants must provide a CV, letters of recommendation and a sample of research, senior applicants need only provide a CV that includes names of potential references and a sample of research. Given its commitment to encouraging diversity, UC Irvine asks that a separate statement addressing past and/or potential contributions to diversity, equity and inclusion be included with the application.
