L&M Policy Research is seeking candidates for quantitative research positions to complement our collaborative, interdisciplinary health policy research team. L&M, located in Washington, DC, is a boutique health services research firm that provides the highest quality research to assist government and private organizations with research and evaluation. Our work focuses on Medicare and private insurance marketplace reforms under the ACA.

Responsibilities:
• Designing and implementing quantitative research projects from conception/proposal through completion for a range of clients
• Managing large data sets and conducting applied microeconomic studies
• Managing client relationships
• Coaching and mentoring junior staff including day-to-day project supervision
• Producing reports, manuscripts, and presentations in collaboration with project team

Minimum Qualifications:
• Recent Ph.D. in Economics or Health Economics, or other relevant social science field involving extensive econometrics/statistics training
• 2+ years experience analyzing and managing large, complex health care databases
• Understanding of health care financing and delivery systems.
• Proficiency with statistical software (SAS or STATA) required.
• Excellent applied microeconomic skills
• Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize staff working with multiple projects
• Must be a thoughtful leader with excellent mentoring skills
