The Department of Health Care Organization and Policy, School of Public Health, University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks an assistant, associate or full professor tenured or tenure earning faculty member. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D./Sc.D. in Economics, Health Services Research or related social/behavioral science discipline with a focus on health. The candidate should have research interests in outcomes research, cost-effectiveness analysis, clinical decision making, and research methods. The candidate will be expected to mount an independent research program and to collaborate with others in the department, as well as other social scientists and clinicians in an interdisciplinary setting. The candidate will be expected to be competitive in obtaining extramural funding to support his or her research and a portion of the candidate's annual salary. Initial duties include teaching Cost-Effectiveness and Decision Analysis.
