The Black School of Business of Penn State Erie, The Behrend College is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position in Economics starting August 2016. Candidates will be considered for appointment at the rank of assistant or associate professor (Ph.D. or ABD in Economics is required). An ability to teach courses in Business Economics, Applied Microeconomics, Econometrics and/or Forecasting is desirable.

Also desirable of candidates for this position is an interest to contribute to the Economic Research Institute of Erie (ERIE) www.ERIEdata.org. ERIE is an applied research unit of the Black School that currently functions to support the Erie regional economy through outreach programs and grants while also engaging the business community through arrange of projects.

Teaching Responsibilities: The teaching assignment is equivalent to 15 credits per academic year.
This position involves teaching undergraduate courses in economics at both the introductory and intermediate levels.

Research Support: Includes access to major statistical packages and databases, as well as funded travel to professional meetings.

Salary: Negotiable and competitive with other AACSB-accredited schools of business.
