IFPRI seeks an Associate Research Fellow (ARF)for its Development Strategy and Governance Division (DSGD) and in collaboration with its Poverty, Health, and Nutrition Division (PHND). This position will be based at IFPRI’s upcoming Egypt Strategy Support Program (Egypt SSP) office located in Cairo, Egypt.

The successful candidate will join the research team focusing on impact evaluation and microeconomic analyses in Egypt and other Arab countries. As part of the team, she/he will work in close collaboration with IFPRI senior researchers in Cairo and Washington, DC, as well as with local and international partners. The main duty will be to contribute to the impact evaluation of USAID-funded large-scale interventions in agriculture, nutrition, and health in Upper Egypt. The successful candidate will also contribute to the broader research and capacity building agenda of the Egypt SSP and will have the opportunity to develop her/his own research projects and explore work in other areas that serve the broad research agenda of DSGD and the Institute.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Health Economics, Nutrition, or related fields
• Excellent econometric/statistical skills and knowledge of STATA
• Demonstrated knowledge of techniques used in impact evaluations and panel data analysis
