Position number 50620. The Department of Economics in Dedman College of Southern Methodist University (SMU) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, effective Fall 2016. The successful candidate will have a strong research focus concerning economic issues with a global dimension. We are particularly interested in candidates specializing in empirical microeconomics such as development, education, health, immigration, environment/natural resource, poverty, and urban economics. The ability to teach econometrics is a significant plus. Ph.D. is required by August 1, 2016. Candidates should upload their current curriculum vitae, a sample of recent research, and three letters of recommendation to the American Economic Association job posting website https://www.aeaweb.org/joe/.
