The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level beginning Fall 2016. The normal teaching load is 3 courses per semester. Applicants from all fields are welcome to apply but some preference will be given to those with fields in macroeconomics, environmental, or urban. Outstanding teaching ability and enthusiasm for teaching in a liberal arts environment are essential, as is strong scholarly potential. Some teaching experience is desirable. All requirements for the Ph.D. must be completed by August 2016. Your application should include a cover letter, vitae, evidence of teaching effectiveness and three letters of reference. All of these materials should be submitted online at JOE. For full consideration, applications and related materials must be received by November 16, 2015. We will conduct interviews by prior appointment at the AEA meetings.
