HealthPartners Institute for Education and Research (the Institute), a nonprofit, medical/healthcare research organization and leader in health services research, has an excellent opportunity for a Research Investigator/Research Associate (rank depending on experience) interested in health economics research to join our team. The Institute conducts externally funded, public domain research.

HealthPartners is an integrated health delivery system with more than 1.5 million dental and medical plan members and more than 1,700 physicians providing care for over one million patients in Minnesota and bordering states. HealthPartners Institute for Education and Research conducts more than 200 laboratory, clinical and health services research projects annually, through 170 full-time staff, 25-full-time career researchers, joined by 40 clinical researchers.

The health economics team has been contributing to research to advance prevention for more than 15 years while successfully building an extended family of models, primarily microsimulation models, known collectively as ModelHealthTM. A qualified candidate will have a PhD in economics, health services research, statistics or related field, plus 0-2 years of post-graduate healthcare research experience. Knowledge of preventive services is preferred.
