The Social Science Division at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is inviting applications for several full time faculty positions in economics at any level (Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, tenure/tenure track). We encourage applications from all excellent candidates with particular emphasis on macroeconomics and development economics.

NYUAD expects successful candidates to publish in high quality internationally refereed journals. The position features a standard teaching load of three courses per year. The terms of employment are very competitive and include generous start-up and on-going research funds, as well as housing subsidies and educational subsidies for children. Faculty may also spend an occasional semester at NYU New York and other sites of the global network, engaging in both research and teaching activities. Candidates for Assistant Professor positions should have completed a PhD or plan to graduate by June 2016.

Applications are due no later than December 10, 2015. The review of applications will begin immediately, and will continue until the positions are filled. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews at the AEA meetings prior to potential campus visits in Abu Dhabi and subsequently New York. We anticipate that the successful candidate can start employment on or before September 1, 2016.
