The Global Economics and Management (GEM) Group at the MIT Sloan School of Management invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment in GEM at the junior level effective July 1, 2016. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Economics, Political Science, Sociology or any applied management field at the start of employment.

Candidates must have strong research skills in global strategy, global entrepreneurship, global markets, political economy or international economics and a teaching interest in global management broadly defined. A range of approaches, perspectives, methods, and disciplines are welcome as long as the individual is interested in broad global management issues. Candidates with an expertise on a specific country or region are also encouraged to apply.

Faculty duties will include teaching MBA’s in GEM courses, overseeing graduate students and conducting research. Candidates may also have the opportunity to teach doctoral students.

The Global Economics and Management Group includes faculty with interests in international economics, political economy, economic history, and international management and business. Our group is part of the Behavioral and Policy Sciences Area, one of three major areas at Sloan. We encourage multidisciplinary work with colleagues in other parts of the School.
