The School of Economics and Political Science of the University of St. Gallen wishes to appoint an

Assistant Professor in Statistics and Econometrics (Big Data)

as soon as possible. The position will cover the analysis of Big Data in Statistics and Econometrics.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a Ph.D. in Statistics, Econometrics, or Computer Science. Because it will be a key duty of this position to build up and support a new research group focusing on Big Data, the ideal candidate should possess a solid experience in working with very large databases. The appointment is for 6 years (non-tenure track). The teaching load will be 2-3 weekly hours per semester, i.e., 1 course per semester.
