A PhD or the equivalent in economics, finance, health economics, health services research or business, and a strong background in applications of risk and insurance and finance in health services and in health policy, is required. Some experience in teaching health care finance, health insurance, and health economics is strongly preferred. The successful applicant’s teaching is expected to include 2-3 courses per year in health care finance, health economics, health insurance, and health policy research. Ideal candidates would be committed to and experienced in educational innovation and leadership in health management and policy programs serving MHA, MPH, and PhD audiences. The ideal applicants will have a demonstrated research track record, ideally as PI of a significant funded project. WOT denotes positions that do not confer tenure automatically upon appointment to the faculty. WOT faculty members have the same rights, responsibilities, and obligations as tenure-track and tenured faculty members at those ranks. Such a faculty member holds his or her appointment on a continuing basis. WOT faculty are eligible for tenure contingent upon the availability of funding and meeting the Department’s criteria for tenure.
