The College of Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant or associate professor rank. Candidates with specializations in water and water related issues will be considered. The College is seeking candidates with significant experience and expertise in teaching and research in one or more of the following areas: federal, state, and local water policy; water rights, governance, distribution, and allocation including competing environmental, agricultural, and residential demand for water; and market-based, risk-based, and other approaches to management of water quality and quantity.

Minimum qualifications include: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral-level degree related to the governance, legal, or policy components of water and water-related issues, which will be completed by August of 2015; Expertise may be in any of the disciplines housed in the College; Demonstrated ability to address water and water-related issues in research and teaching from socio-economic, cultural, and/or political perspectives with a willingness to work at the interface of multiple disciplines, reflecting the highly interdisciplinary nature of the College and its faculty.
