The Economics Department of LIU invites applications for a tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor of Economics starting fall 2015. Candidates must have a PhD in Economics by that date. They are expected to teach microeconomics and macroeconomics at the introductory and intermediate levels as well as courses in their areas of expertise. While we will consider strong candidates in any field, preference will be given to candidates in the areas of macroeconomics, monetary theory, growth, and international economics. The selected candidate must demonstrate both teaching ability and research promise.

A complete application consists of a cover letter, a curriculum vita, a research paper, a (unofficial) graduate transcript, teaching and research statements, evidence of teaching effectiveness and three reference letters.
