The Department of Economics at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania seeks to fill Three Full-Time Temporary positions (AA# 40-4-126, 40-4-127, 40-4-128) at the Instructor level for the Academic Year 2015-16. The position(s) requires teaching 12 credit hours at the undergraduate level per semester. Course assignments may include, but are not limited to Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Business & Economics Statistics, and Business & Economics Mathematics.

ABD in Economics is required. Candidates with a Ph.D. in Economics are preferred. Preference will also be given to candidates who are able to provide evidence or show potential for effective teaching and demonstrate an ability to work with diverse populations.

All materials must be labeled AA# 40-4-126/127/128. Applications received by March 30, 2015 will receive full consideration. The position(s) will remain open until filled. Finalists must communicate well and successfully complete a telephone interview, and provide official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work. Recommendation for hiring is needed from the majority of the regular, full-time faculty within the department. Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate(s) will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check. Completing these searches is contingent upon available funding.
