The Department of Economics in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences seeks to hire a lecturer.
The position is in macroeconomics. It is a full-time position for two years, with the possibility of renewal. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate courses. (The department offers both M.A. and Ph.D. degrees.) The course load is two courses one semester and three in the other semester, fall and winter. The compensation is highly competitive.
Wayne State University has over 31,000 students, 13 schools and colleges, and 370 academic programs. It is classified as a very high activity research university by the Carnegie Foundation. Wayne State, Michigan State and the University of Michigan are the members of the University Research Corridor of Michigan.
Candidates should have a strong background and interest in research and teaching. While we will accept applications from those with a Master’s degree in economics, a Ph.D. or A.B.D. status in economics is strongly preferred.
