Tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Economics beginning in the Fall of 2015. ABDs are welcome to apply, but candidates are expected to complete a PhD in Economics by the time of appointment. The Department seeks a teacher/scholar with a commitment to students in and out of the classroom. Teaching load of three courses per semester includes Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics and upper-level courses in the candidate's field(s) of interest. Professional activity, including active scholarship and participation in College governance are required of all full-time faculty members. The successful candidate must combine teaching excellence with a strong commitment to Muhlenberg's General Education Curriculum, including diversity and global engagement, along with an intellectually compelling research agenda. Applications should include: a letter summarizing qualifications, curriculum vitae, a job-market paper, three letters of reference, graduate transcripts, teaching philosophy and evidence of teaching excellence.
