The Department of Economics at Union College invites applications for two full-time visiting positions beginning in Fall 2015. We expect to hire one position with a three-year contract, and one with a two-year contract. The teaching load is six courses over three ten-week terms, up to two of which may take the form of supervision of undergraduate theses. Applicants should be prepared to teach courses in applied micro- or macroeconomics, and to supervise senior theses. Desire and ability to teach innovative/interdisciplinary courses are a plus. The successful applicant should have a Ph.D. by September 2015, an established record of teaching excellence and an active research program. The department has twelve tenure-track faculty committed to excellence in teaching and research in a liberal arts environment.
