The UCR Economics Department invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor appointment in labor economics. We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong command of applied econometrics and whose research employs cutting-edge empirical methods to explore substantive issues in labor-related fields. Responsibilities include developing a strong research program and teaching/advising undergraduate and graduate students. Applicants are expected to have a demonstrated commitment to high-quality scholarly research, and must be ABD or have a Ph.D. in Economics or related field by the time of appointment; July 1, 2015. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with education and experience.

Applications should include a letter of interest, CV, sample of research work, and three letters of recommendation. Review of the applications will begin on November 21, 2014, and will continue until the position is filled.
