Seeking tenure/track faculty candidates, with salary and rank open, dependent on the qualifications of the applicants. Responsibilities of the faculty member within the Martin V. Smith School of Business & Economics include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Economics, leading to a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Bachelor of Science in Business or Masters in Business Administration. The faculty member may contribute to program development within the Smith School and other related disciplines, and teach cooperatively across the entire CSUCI curriculum. Responsibilities beyond the discipline may include teaching interdisciplinary courses. CSUCI faculty members are teacher/scholars who are expected to engage in an ongoing program of scholarship demonstrating intellectual and professional growth. Additionally, all faculty members are expected to assume an active collegial role in planning and governance through service on campus-wide, divisional, Smith School and Academic Senate committees. Faculty members are expected to promote cross-cultural awareness and service to the community. For senior candidates, opportunities may exist leading or coordinating the following areas: Advising Activities, Assessment Activities, Internship Activities, MBA Program, Smith Center for Integrated Decision-Making.

Demonstrated preparation for teaching Economics at a university level
A record of effective teaching with a variety of methodologies
Evidence of on-going scholarly activities
Commitment to curriculum planning, development and implementation
Evidence of commitment to work in teams
Experience with and commitment to working in a multiethnic, multilingual and multicultural environment
Evidence of commitment to the university and the Economics discipline
For senior candidates, experience in leading or coordinating academic related areas
