The School of Entrepreneurship at Management at Shanghai Tech University, under the leadership of May Lee, is seeking to create a number of interdisciplinary research groups focusing on various aspects of human behavior in social, political and economic contexts. To that end, the School has authorized a number of tenure track and non-tenure track positions, including visiting positions for suitable scholars who are committed to interdisciplinary research, collaboration and the study of human behavior from a number of different perspectives: including economics, psychology, philosophy, decision theory, cognitive science and sociology/anthropology.

The Dean is particularly interested in making core appointments in the areas of experimental economics, finance, psychology, decision theory and experimental philosophy. She has authorized an as yet undetermined number of open rank positions for candidates, either tenure track or otherwise depending on qualifications and candidate interest to be filled over the next few years. The Dean hopes to make at least one appointment in experimental economics or finance for the school year beginning in the fall of 2015 – more if particularly attractive candidates come to the fore.

Junior candidates should have completed the PhD prior to the fall of 2015. Candidates for senior positions will be expected to display a record of appropriate achievement.

Shanghai Tech is a new University jointly funded and founded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the City of Shanghai. The School of Entrepreneurship and Management has been established to pursue joint research and interdisciplinary scholarship and teaching at the frontiers of contemporary social science and philosophy.
