The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) South Asia based at the Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR) is pleased to announce a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Education for 2015-2017.

J-PAL's Education Program promotes research aimed at providing policymakers and practitioners with the knowledge needed to design and implement more effective education policies and programs based on high quality impact evaluations of promising solutions to challenges in education. The successful candidate will be based in India and will work closely with J-PAL education co-chairs and affiliated professors working in education to set a research agenda for education and human development, and develop new projects for an experimental research program that aims to generate policy-relevant evidence to improve learning outcomes in South Asia.

The Fellowship is open to a candidate who has earned either a PhD in Economics or Public Policy with a significant focus on education OR a PhD in Education with a focus on quantitative research methods. The candidate should have demonstrated strong research interests and experience in education in developing countries and impact evaluation. Significant applied econometrics skills are expected.
