Full Text of JOE Listing:

CLRE announces a full-time Post-doctoral fellowship for 2015-2016, with a possible extension to 2016-17. The post-doc can be awarded to a recent Ph.D. in Economics, Public Policy, or related field. The post-doc would carry out research useful to construction industry stakeholders, such as: studies of the impacts of prevailing wages, project labor agreements, and other contractor and labor standards on the cost and quality of commercial, public, and industrial construction projects; the impact of apprenticeship programs on construction workers and firm; and related topics.

The applicant must have strong quantitative skills, familiarity with labor market and other relevant data, an understanding of construction sector institutions, familiarity with policies related to labor standards, and a willingness to focus on construction industry research.

The position could start as early as February 1, 2015 and as late as July 1, 2015.
