The King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) is an independent, non-profit research institution with a globally diverse team. KAPSARC’s mission is to:
• advance the understanding of energy challenges and opportunities, both domestically and globally, through high caliber research;
• build a platform and act as a catalyst for constructive dialogue between stakeholders;
• create future value and prosperity to maximize societal benefits
The language of the Center is English.
KAPSARC’s team has grown to include 50 full-time researchers (along with 20 visiting researchers), comprised of 17 nationalities. Over the next two years, the team is expected to grow to 80 full-time and 40 visiting researchers. We are seeking candidates from industry, academia and the policy community with specializations in economic development, econometrics, mathematical programming and modeling, applied micro-economics, macro-economics, human geography, or other areas related to energy economics. Prior work in energy issues is welcome but not necessary. The ideal candidate would hold a PhD plus at least three years of relevant work experience, or a Master’s plus six years of experience.
