Mathematica is seeking a Senior Researcher to join its international team as part of the Center for International Policy Research and Evaluation (CIPRE). CIPRE oversees all of Mathematica’s impact evaluations and other research of complex social programs designed to alleviate the economic, health, and social consequences of poverty globally. In the last five years alone Mathematica has conducted randomized and quasi-experimental studies in over 20 countries. The selected candidate will be part of the CIPRE senior leadership team and will work closely with staff to respond to calls for proposals, actively explore ways to expand the client base, lead interdisciplinary teams of researchers and play an active role in disseminating research findings.
S/he will have a track record of securing projects from government, foundations and/or aid organizations; substantial experience in international development research, with a focus on leading impact evaluations in Asia, Africa or Latin America; and a proven commitment to improving public well-being in developing countries. An advanced degree in economics or a related social science is required. This position can be based in any of Mathematica’s six offices.
