The College of Business and Management at Saginaw Valley State University, an AACSB accredited institution invites applications for a one-year, temporary full-time appointment at the rank of instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics to start August 2015. This position has the potential of a subsequent one-year appointment and/or can be converted to tenure-track position in future if budget permits. We invite applications at all ranks from candidates with expertise in any field within economics. Duties include teaching 12 credit-hours per semester of teaching Introduction to Economics, Principles of Macroeconomics or Microeconomics and Statistics. An ability to teach Industrial Organizations would be a plus. Additional courses would be as assigned by the Department. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in scholarly activities commensurate to the requirements of the college. A Ph.D. in Economics is required for appointment to the assistant professor rank. Candidates who are ABD may be considered for an instructor rank.
