Nesta is seeking an outstanding Principal Researcher to work on randomised trials in the Innovation Growth Lab (IGL), a new global laboratory for innovation and growth policy that Nesta has set up in partnership with several public and private organisations internationally.

Your role will be vital to ensure that the RCTs developed by IGL and its partners are designed appropriately, maximize learning opportunities, and deliver insightful findings that improve the evidence base on the impact of different interventions and push forward the knowledge frontier on the drivers and barriers to innovation, high-growth entrepreneurship and business growth. Your role will also contribute to advance the knowledge base on how to conduct RCTs in this space, and you will have the opportunity to proactively develop new trials.

You will have a PhD in the fields of statistics, econometrics or economics and a strong background in randomised evaluation methods (both theory and practice). MSc-level candidates with strong technical background and substantial demonstrable experience in designing and conducting RCTs will also be considered.
