The USITC is an independent federal agency that provides objective economic assessments of government policies, commercial practices, and other issues related to international trade and investment. Economists at the USITC work in multi-disciplinary teams to provide econometric, survey, and modeling expertise in USITC studies for the President, the U.S. Trade Representative, and Congress.

The Country and Regional Analysis Division (CRD) conducts analysis related to country, regional, and free trade agreements. CRD anticipates an opening for an international economist and is interested in meeting new or experienced Ph.D. economists with relevant interests at the ASSA meetings in Boston. Candidates are expected to have a completed Ph.D. by the date of appointment. Researchers with a special focus on India or the East Asia region are strongly encouraged to apply.
