3ie, an international non-profit organization dedicated to improving development outcomes through better use of evidence from quality impact evaluations (IEs), is seeking a Senior Evaluation Specialist to serve in its main office in New Delhi, India. 3ie's functions include grant-making for IEs, systematic reviews (SRs), and replication studies of IEs; in-house research, including SRs, evidence scoping reports, replication studies and others; communication and advocacy of policy evidence; public goods for the impact evaluation community; and professional services for development implementing agencies. The Senior Evaluation Specialist will be responsible for: managing grant-making programs; fundraising; supervising and mentoring staff; serving as direct liaison with 3ie member agencies; reviewing proposals for 3ie funding; quality assuring 3ie-funded studies; conducting in-house research; participating in select conferences, workshops and IE training events; and contributing advocacy and communications materials; among other tasks. Applicants must have a PhD plus five years of professional experience or a Masters plus eight years of professional experience. The degree should be in economics or field relevant to development with research experience in experimental and quasi-experimental methods applied to development contexts. The professional experience should include program management. This position is currently open and will be filled when a suitable candidate is identified.
