Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC), Japanese competition authority, is interested in hiring economists. Candidates should have strong research experience in the fields of microeconomics, industrial organization, and econometrics at universities or other research institutions, or experience of survey on economy and/or industry in private corporations. The JFTC expects candidates to conduct research on competition policy or to implement economic analysis in mergers review. Appointments are for a 2 to 5-year term. Candidates must have Japanese nationality and other requirements must be fulfilled as required by the National Public Service Act.
