The Study Center Gerzensee, Foundation of the Swiss National Bank, trains central bankers from around the world and doctoral students mainly from Swiss universities. It also organizes international academic conferences.

The Study Center is seeking to recruit a Lecturer (non-tenure track, joint appointment) who contributes to the teaching of central bankers’ and introductory doctoral courses, conducts high quality academic research and contributes to the Center’s overall academic environment. The language of instruction is English.

The position is for three years, renewable for three more years, and involves a 50% appointment. The Study Center encourages a joint appointment with the University of Bern or another academic institution. The University of Bern is seeking to recruit a Post Doc with research interests in international macroeconomics and monetary economics (50%).

A PhD in economics, a commitment to high quality research in international macroeconomics, monetary economics or related fields, and excellent teaching skills are required for this position. The Study Center offers a low teaching load, competitive remuneration, and excellent research facilities. The anticipated starting date for the position is September 2015.
