The Department of Business Administration at Flagler College invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Economics at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2015. A Ph.D. is preferred, but consideration will be given to candidates who are ABD with a documented completion date. Candidates must demonstrate an enthusiastic commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students and have an active professional development agenda. Teaching experience at the college level is required.
The teaching load is four sections per semester. The candidate must be able to teach Quantitative Methods for Business and upper-level courses in applied microeconomics, such as Labor Economics and Managerial Economics. The candidate will also be expected to contribute to the College’s general education program, including teaching principles of macroeconomics and/or microeconomics, and periodically participating in interdisciplinary learning communities for first-year students.
Flagler College is an independent, co-educational college with an enrollment of 2,500 students. The Business Administration Department is the largest academic department with over 600 declared majors and 14 full-time faculty. The College is located in historic St. Augustine, Florida, approximately 35 miles south of Jacksonville and 55 miles north of Daytona Beach.
