The Department of Economics at the University of Saskatchewan is inviting applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2015. The successful candidate will have expertise in macroeconomics with research focus in macroeconomic theory and/or monetary economics and related fields.

Applicants must have a completed, or soon to be completed, Ph.D. and have demonstrated excellence or promise of excellence in research and teaching. A completed Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an active, externally funded research program as well as contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching, graduate student supervision, and program development. Review of applications will begin after December 1, 2014, and continue until the position is filled, with the appointment commencing July 1, 2015. Interested candidates should submit a letter of application, CV, copies of relevant publications, a statement of teaching philosophy, and arrange for three letters of reference to be sent. The department will conduct interviews at the annual meeting of the American Economic Association in Boston in January 2015 and at the Canadian Economics Employment Exchange in Toronto in December 2014.

Salary Bands (July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016):
Assistant Professor $90,797 (floor) to $115,213 (overlap ceiling)
