The Department of Economics and Finance is inviting applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics position beginning fall semester 2015.

Primary Responsibilities

Teach traditional face-to-face and online undergraduate courses in economics, with possibility of teaching statistics/quantitative methods and MBA courses; conduct research leading to refereed publications in national journals; advise undergraduate and graduate students; participate in University and professional service.

Required Qualifications

•Ph.D. in Economics or ABD with high probability of completion by August 2015. (Degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university)
•We welcome applicants from all fields of Macroeconomics. Candidates with interest in teaching business statistics and/or econometrics are encouraged to apply
•Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
•Demonstrated commitment to the teacher/scholar model
•Demonstrated ability for effective teaching and refereed publications
•Demonstrated commitment to collegiality when interacting with others within the University community
•Demonstrated commitment to working with multi-cultural populations and awareness of issues affecting women and minorities
