The Department of Economics of the Erasmus School of Economics in Rotterdam invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in the areas of international trade, economic geography, or development economics.

The position involves a teaching load of approximately 90 hours per academic year (3 courses) plus theses supervision. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with the Tinbergen Institute, a leading research institute in Europe.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D in economics. Those who are close to completion or already hold a tenure-track position are also invited to apply. Primary selection criteria will be outstanding research potential and teaching capabilities.

Employment starts in September 2015, and will initially run for a period of 3 years with a possible extension of 3 more years followed by a tenure decision. We offer competitive salaries, generous research support and compensation for moving costs.
