Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department of Economics invites applicants for two positions at the ranks of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor. Each ideal candidate will be expected to teach under-graduate and post-graduate courses and also supervise research students including PhDs in the above fields. S/he must demonstrate willingness to engage with colleagues (both within and outside the department and school) policy makers and industry and also compete for external research grants.

The Department has a strong research culture and is a leading research institution in Australasia. It has comprehensive undergraduate and post-graduate programmes. The university values excellence in teaching and successful candidates must demonstrate an ability to teach well at all levels. Continuation (tenure) depends on satisfactory performance across research, teaching and service. The University provides good research funding.
