The Public Policy Institute (www.politicaspublicas.udp.cl) at the School of Business and Economics at the Universidad Diego Portales invite applications for an open rank faculty position to begin as soon as March 1, 2015 and no later than June 1st 2015.

Applicants should have the ability to conduct research using advanced quantitative methods and to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting. The ideal candidate will either have earned a Ph.D. in Economics or Public Policy. Priority will be given to candidates whose research and teaching skills complement one or more of the following priority areas: political economy, labor economy, economic competition regulation, or development economics.

Candidates should be prepared to teach relevant courses both at the graduate and undergraduate level within the Public Policy Institute and the School of Business and Economics. Since undergraduate courses should be taugh in Spanish, proficiency in that language is required.

Candidates will be selected based on academic merits and the strengths of their research agenda. Since candidates will also be expected to fully participate in the Public Policy Institute´s activities and institutional development, academic engagement with the public policy debate at the national or international level will be highly valued.
