Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI) at Stockholm University seeks to fill one or two post-doctoral positions in labor economics (subject to budgetary approval). Appointments will be effective August 2015.

The research institute consists of economists and sociologists. The labor economics research group at SOFI consists of approximately 30 active researchers (20 Ph.D.s and 10 graduate students). Research covers labor economics in a very broad sense. For more information see http://www.sofi.su.se.

The holders of the positions will devote most of their time, at least 70 percent, to their own research. Besides research, the positions also involve some obligations to contribute to teaching, supervising of graduate students and administration. The position is a three year stipend, with a possible extension for an additional three years.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in economics received after January 1, 2012 but no later than September 2015.

Interested candidates should upload their materials through the AEA’s Job Openings for Economists homepage by December 1, 2014. SOFI will be interviewing candidates at the AEA 2015 Meeting in Boston and at the RES 2015 Meeting in London. Candidates should make it clear in their cover letters where they will be available for an interview.
