The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant / Associate Professor starting Fall 2015. The successful applicant is expected to have expertise in econometric modeling and / or mathematical methods. Experience in modeling with large data sets; expertise in econometric software and programming languages including R and Python is especially valued. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and develop a nationally recognized research program. The ability to work across disciplines and secure external funding is highly desirable. Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate and graduate courses in quantitative economics, econometrics, microeconomics and other courses of interest. PhD must be completed, or defense scheduled, prior to December 31, 2014.
