The Department of Economics at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, will recruit an assistant professor in Economics, with a specialization in Econometrics, during 2015. This is a tenure track position, with expected start date in August 2015, or possibly earlier.

Job Description/Qualifications:
Applicants should have completed, or be close to completing, a Ph.D. in Economics. Candidates are expected to either have a specialization in theoretical or applied econometrics, and/or pursue empirical research with a strong econometric component. Candidates pursuing research topics related to any area of economics, including finance, will be considered. Research skills and research potential will be key selection criteria and the successful candidate is expected to carry out research suitable for publication in highly ranked economics and econometrics journals. The teaching load is competitive, and will primarily consist of econometrics courses at any level, from undergraduate to Ph.D. level. English is the primary teaching language.
