Washington & Jefferson College invites applications for an assistant or associate professor in Finance beginning in August 2015. Candidates who possess a Ph.D. in Economics with a field in Finance or a Ph.D. in Finance are preferred. A Master’s Degree in Finance or an M.B.A with a concentration in Finance, plus substantial applied experience in Finance, is acceptable. For candidates possessing the Ph.D., the appointment will be for a tenure-track position. For other candidates, the appointment will be a non-tenure-track position for an initial term of three years. The position is of Assistant Professor level but we will consider Associate level for outstanding candidates with substantial experience and educational attainment.

Our Economics & Business Department offers majors in Economics, Business Administration, Financial Economics, Accounting and International Business, as well as a number of minors and other interdisciplinary programs.

The primary teaching assignment for this position will be finance courses, including Principles of Finance, Investments and Portfolio Theory and another upper-level finance course. The teaching load is six courses per year.
