The Faculty of Commerce and Management at Hitotsubashi University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track or nontenured, assistant professor position, or a tenured associate/full professor position beginning October 1, 2015. We are interested in applicants with outstanding research and teaching skills in the field of finance. Applications in any areas of finance will be considered. Applicants should have a PhD from an accredited institution by the time of appointment. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate/graduate finance courses in English, so high proficiency in English is required. Applicants should submit an application by email to recruit2014@cm.hit-u.ac.jp by November 15, 2014. The application must include (1) a letter of application, (2) curriculum vitae, (3) for assistant-professor position applicants, only,: three letters of recommendations from referees familiar with the applicant’s research, (4) electronic files of research papers (up to three). An applicant who is close to completing a PhD should show evidence that she/he will complete it by the time of appointment. We will be interviewing selected candidates at the Annual AEA Meeting in Boston or at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
