South Coast Air Quality Management District(SCAQMD), located in Diamond Bar, CA, is one of the largest and most technologically sophisticated environmental regulatory agencies in the nation.

The current vacancy is in the Socioeconomic Unit of Planning, Rule Development, and Area Sources. This position and assigned staff develop and apply economic models (e.g., REMI for regional impact assessments, BenMAP for health benefit assessments), to assess economic impacts of air quality related issues; and write documents concerning socioeconomic impacts of the AQMP, regulations and SCAQMD rules.

Salary/Benefits: $7,767 - $9,621 per month, plus an excellent benefits package including a Cafeteria Benefits Plan; defined retirement benefit plan and a 4/10 work week.

Education and Experience Required: A bachelor's degree in engineering or the physical, social, or biological sciences, depending on the particular functions of the assigned unit AND four years of technical air quality or professional analytical experience related to this position.
