The Department of Economics and the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan are delighted to announce that they are seeking applications and nominations for the Gail R. Wilensky Joint Professorship in Applied Economics and Public Policy. Expected start date is September 1, 2015, for a university-year appointment. This professorship will be held by a tenured faculty member. The Wilensky Chair will be an economist whose research addresses questions of applied economics and health policy, and who considers a wide range of applied and policy problems, including those related to health and health policy. Applicants for the position should have a distinguished record of scholarship in these areas and be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching as well as a strong commitment to policy engagement.
