Applications are invited for a tenure track faculty position beginning August 2015 in the Department of Economics at the University of Iowa.

This position is for an econometrician with demonstrated applied interests in at least one substantive area of economics. A successful tenure-track candidate will be expected to develop a consistent record of positive classroom teaching in the undergraduate, MBA and/or doctoral programs and supervise doctoral research, to maintain a record of excellence in published scholarly research, and to take on leadership roles in the Department and College.

Our preference is for candidates at the Assistant and Associate Professor ranks, but exceptional candidates at the rank of Full Professor will be considered. Senior candidates must have outstanding records of scholarly achievement. Junior candidates must demonstrate potential for outstanding records of scholarly achievement. Candidates must be committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education with demonstrated evidence of a commitment to diversity in the educational community. Evidence of successful teaching experience is required. An earned Ph.D. in Economics or closely related field is required (junior candidates can be near completion).
