Scripps College, a women’s liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications for two temporary teaching positions in Economics. In both cases, extensive teaching experience is required; Ph.D. is preferred but advanced ABD will be considered.

Applicants should submit statement of interest, vita, evidence of effective teaching, and three letters of reference via email to the contact person for the position indicated below. Review of applications will begin November 1 and will continue until the position is filled. Interviews via Skype are anticipated.

Visiting Assistant Professor, 2015-2016 academic year:
The faculty member will teach five courses plus supervise senior theses. Courses may include Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomic Theory, Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory, and one elective such as development or international economics.

Visiting Lecturer, Fall semester 2015:
The faculty member will teach two courses which may include principles and intermediate theory in micro or macro.
