The Department of Public Policy and Curriculum in Global Studies seek to appoint a tenure-track assistant/advanced assistant professor, effective July 1, 2015. An affiliation with Carolina Population Center is possible if research focuses on population processes.

We seek an applied economist with research interests in the area of the “global economy”—education, labor markets, development, international political economy, trade, population, health and/or poverty alleviation. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in Public Policy, Economics (Development), Political Economy.

Candidates should provide a cover letter which describes interests and a rationale for working in an interdisciplinary unit; a CV; three letters of reference from tenured professors at the Associate Professor level or higher; and sample of work. Finalists will need to provide a fourth letter of reference.
