Korea Institute of Local Finance (KILF) based in Seoul is a Korea’s leading think tank established in 2011. It is a public research institute funded by all local governments in Korea and maintains a close working relationship with the Ministry of Security and Public Administration. KILF conducts in-depth research on local finance and regional development. It aims to provide policy recommendations to enhance fiscal decentralization and local fiscal autonomy. We plan to aggressively expand our research capacity and seek qualified applicants with expertise in public finance and/or regional economics. However, applicants in all areas are encouraged to apply. A successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in economics by the time of employment and is expected to work well under interdependent working conditions. Strong quantitative skills are also preferred.
